Jose Moreno

Jose Moreno of Uvalde passed away on February 19, 2020 in Uvalde at the age of 91. He was born on August 17, 1928 in Jackson County, Texas to Brigido and Fernanda (Estrada) Moreno.
He is survived by his daughters, Fernanda Moreno and Carmel Munoz all of Uvalde; sons, Pedro Moreno, David Moreno, Martin Moreno, Jesus Moreno, and Cruz Moreno; sisters, Maria Moreno, Fenia Moreno and Regina Moreno all of Mathis, Texas; brothers, Theodore Moreno of Uvalde, Lupe Moreno, Tomas Moreno, Juan Moreno, and Carmelio Moreno all of Corpus Christi; 20 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Santos Moreno; daughter, Juana Moreno and son, Jose Moreno, Jr.
Visitation will begin on Friday at 9:00 a.m. A rosary will be held on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 7:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, February 24, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be James Moreno, Alvino Sotelo, Arly Munoz, Jesse Moreno, Martin Moreno and Cruz Moreno.
