Jose Ontiveros

Jose Ontiveros of Uvalde passed away on August 3, 2012 at his residence at the age of 93. He was born on September 23, 1918 in Morenci, Arizona to Jose and Maria Del Refugio Santellanes Ontiveros. He married Dolores Ontiveros on October 4, 1947 in Piedras Negras. He is survived by his daughters, Rosa Maria Ontiveros, Alicia Diaz and husband Bobby both of Uvalde, Guadalupe Ortiz and husband Simon of McAllen, Irma Cox of Ft. Worth, Silvia Romo and husband Roland of San Antonio sons, Silvestre Ontiveros and wife Rosa of Houston brothers, Pablo Ontiveros of Uvalde, Joaquin Ontiveros, and Daniel Ontiveros both of Eagle Pass 9 grandchildren, and one greatgrandchild. He is preceded in death by his wife Dolores Ontiveros, parents, sister, Hermelinda Ontiveros, brother, Eduardo Ontiveros and son, Pedro Ontiveros. A rosary will be held on Saturday August 4, 2012 and Sunday August 5, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at the RushingEstesKnowles Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Monday August 6, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bob Diaz, Alejandro Ortiz, Roland Romo, Simon Ortiz, Bobby Diaz and Ryan Romo.
