Jose Santillana

Jose Gregorio Garcia Santillana of Uvalde, Tx. passed away August 25, 2007 in Amistad Nursing Home at the age of 83.

He was born March 19, 1923 in Congregacion de Villa de Fuente, Coah., Mexico to Donaciano Anastacia Santillana.

He is survived by his sisters, Hortencia Castro of Uvalde, Tx. Consuelo Garcia Arballo of Tecolotio, New Mexico; nephews, Cesar Hernandez Zenon Cabrales, both of Uvalde, Tx.; niece, Consuelo Rodriguez husband, Carlos of Eagle Pass, Tx.; great-nephews, Dennis Hernandez, Sr. of Uvalde, Tx.; Joe Anthony Hernandez of Uvalde, Tx. Cesar Hernandez, Jr. of Okanawa, Japan; great-niece, Jennifer Hernandez of Uvalde, Tx.; numerous nieces and nephews from Piedras Negras.

A prayer service will be held on Monday at 7:00 pm at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, August 28, 2007 at 10:00 am in Hillcrest Cemetery. Pastor Jesus Cardona will be officiating.

Pallbearers will be Joe Anthony Hernandez; Dennis Hernandez, Sr.; Dennis Hernandez, Jr.; Zenon Cabrales; Jaime Cabrales; Santiago Cabrales.

Arrangements are by Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary, Inc.
