Jose Vasquez

Jose G. Vasquez of Uvalde passed away on October 21, 2010 at his residence at the age of 74. He was born on March 12, 1936 in Eagle Pass, Texas to Jose and Paulita Vasquez. He survived by two daughters Cynthia Ann Lara and husband Gilbert Joe of Uvalde, Texas Deborah Hurtado and husband Jose Luis of Uvalde, Texas two sons Ernest S. Vasquez and wife Rose of Uvalde, Texas Jesse S. Vasquez and wife Sonya of Kerrville, Texas sister Agedita Gonzales and husband Angel of San Antonio, Texas grandchildren Monica Lynn Lara, Erica Vasquez, Crystal Garza, Bianca Vasquez, Joe Vasquez IV, John Daniel Vasquez, Ernest Vasquez Jr., Gilbert Joe Lara Jr., Jacob James Lara, Jose Luis Hurtado Jr., Jesse Vasquez Jr., and Rick Hurtado Great grandchildren Jasmine Renee Castro, Malik Castro, Janelle Castro, Jayce Vasquez, Sophia Vasquez, Kavin Ramon, Jose Luis Hurtado III, Karina Hurtado, Gabriela Sarahi Lara numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Joe Vasquez III, sister Amelia Cortez, and brothers Guadalupe Vasquez, Ruben Vasquez, Frank Vasquez, and Orlando Vasquez. A rosary will be held on Thursday and Friday at 7:00 PM at RushingEstesKnowles Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Saturday October 23, 2010 at 2:30 PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial in Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons Joe Vasquez IV, John Daniel Vasquez, Ernest Vasquez Jr., Gilbert Joe Lara Jr., Jacob James Lara, Jose Luis Hurtado Jr., and Jesse Vasquez Jr. Honorary pallbearer will be Rick Hurtado.
