Josefina Esquivel

Josefina Velez Esquivel passed away on March 22, 2016 at North East Baptist Hospital in San Antonio at the age of 72. She was born March 19, 1944 in Allende, Coahuila Mexico to Micaela (Martinez) and Jose Velez. She married Uvaldo Esquivel in Allende, Mexico on July 15, 1960. She is survived by her sons; Baldemar Esquivel and wife Lourdes of Knippa, Selestino Esquivel and wife Raquel of Sabinal, Armando Esquivel and wife Elizabeth of Uvalde, David Esquivel and wife Marisela of Knippa, and Eduardo Esquivel; daughters, San Juana Ortiz and husband Fernando, Amalia Nino and husband Benito, Micaela Esquivel and Marisol Villarreal and husband Carlos; twenty eight grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Juan Antonio Esquivel; sister, Martha De Luna and brother, Ramon Veloz.
A prayer service will be held Thursday, March 24, 2016 at 7:00 pm at Rushing Estes Knowles Mortuary. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 25, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Templo Cristiano with burial to follow at the Knippa Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be B.J. Esquivel, Danny Nino, Jonathan Esquivel, Tony Esquivel, Nathan Olivarez, Ryan Esquivel, Tinito Esquivel, Alonzo Esquivel, Aron Esquivel, Johnny Esquivel, Marky Esquivel, E.J. Esquivel, and Matthew Villarreal.
