Josefina Guia

Josefina Guia of Uvalde passed away on March 8, 2015 at Uvalde Memorial Hospital at the age of 93. She was born on March 4, 1922 in Santiago Papasquiaro, Durango, Mexico to Juan Avitia and Refugio Franco. She is survived by her daughters, Maria Zamora of Los Angeles, California, Elvia Rangel of Kerrville, Martha Gonzales of California, Gloria Hernandez and Sylvia Hernandez both of Uvalde, Angeles Paredes of California; sons, Manuel Mendoza of Del Rio and Jesus Mendoza of California; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Modesto Guia. Cremation is under the direction of Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.
