Josefina Torres

Josefina S. Torres of Uvalde passed away on January 19, 2008 in Uvalde Memorial Hospital at the age of 93. She was born March 19, 1914 in Uvalde, Texas to Francisco and Josefa Sandoval. She is survived by her daughter Dolores Torres Mares and husband, Joe of Albuquerque, New Mexico; sons Joe F. Torres and wife, Rebecca of Big Springs Tx.; Gilbert S. Torres of Sacarmento, California; Armando Torres and wife, Alicia of Denver, Colorado; Roy S. Torres and wife, Herminia of Uvalde, Tx.; Ricardo Torres and wife Antonia of Spain; Sister Candelaria Jimenez of Big Springs Tx.; 15 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Jose D. Torres; parents Francisco and Josefa Sandoval; son Ray S. Torres. A prayer service will be held on Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at 7:00 PM at the Rushing-Estes-Knowles Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 24, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Primera Iglesia Bautista with burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Brother Julian Moreno will officiate.
