Josephina Rodriguez, 76, of Sabinal, formerly of Uvalde, passed away on July 23, 2023, in Hondo, Texas.
She was born on March 19, 1947, in Sonora, Texas to Juanita (Morales) and Gilde Galindo.
She is survived by four daughters, Beverly Herrera of Waco, Texas, Caroline Briones and husband, Santos Reyna of Uvalde, Cristina Leos and husband, Andres of Hondo, and Esperanza De Leon and husband, Orlando of Hondo; four sisters, Frances Trevino, Janie Aviles, Dora Torres, and Mary Jane Gleason all of Uvalde; grandchildren, Emily Herrera, Juan Herrera, Jr., Joseph Briones, Jr., Joshua Briones, Bianca Briones, AJ Leos, Bianca Leos, Daniel De Leon, Rebecca Berry, Naomi De Leon, and Sara De Leon ; 11 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jesus G. Rodriguez; parents; two sisters, Cruz Maldonado and Manuelita Galindo.
Visitation will begin on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at 3 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at 2 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.
Interment will follow at Sabinal Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be AJ Leos, Daniel De Leon, Joshua Briones and Joseph Briones, Diego Berry and Andres Leos.
