Josephine Shreve

Josephine Esther Shreve of Uvalde passed away on November 2, 2021 at Uvalde Memorial Hospital at the age of 90.  Josephine was born to Andrew Baum and Katherine Elizabeth Schmidt on April 19, 1931.

She married Dr. Loy William Shreve on November 10, 1951 in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

She is survived by her daughter, Marilyn Joy Miller of Uvalde; sons, Loy William Shreve, II of San Angelo and Dugal Alan Shreve of Uvalde; grandchildren, William Shreve, Levi Miller , Alexandra Shreve, Benjamin Miller, Joshua Miller,  great grandchildren Alice Miller,  Kaleb Argabright, Primrose Miller and Brom Miller;  sisters, Hilda Jacobs, Lydia Kaufman, both of Kansas; brothers, Leo Baum and George Baum of Kansas, and Jacob Baum of Missouri.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Edward Baum, Emil Baum, and Kenny Baum; and sisters, Viola Brown, Margaret Bissett, Helen Wolford, Mary Mermis, and Rosie Thompson.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.  Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
