Juan Flores

Juan Johnny Flores of La Pryor passed away October 8, 2007 at North West Christus Santa Rosa Hospital in San Antonio at the age of 77.

He was born July 12, 1930 in La Pryor, Tx. to Serapio Adela Flores.

He married Evangelina Zamora in Eagle Pass, Tx. on May 24, 1953.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years Evangelina Zamora Flores of La Pryor; daughters, Delia husband Carlos Gonzales of Bloominton, Tx.; Adelita Saenz of San Antonio, Tx.; sons, Johnny Jr. wife Cindy of Crystal City, Tx.; Serapio wife Mary Ann Flores of La Pryor, Tx.; and Martin wife Becky Flores of La Pryor,Tx.; sister, Petra husband Luis Del Toro of Uvalde, Tx.; sisters-in-law, Esperanza Flores of La Pryor, Tx.; and Gregoria Flores Sal
ar of Hillsboro, Tx.; 20 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and numerous nieces nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Manuel Flores and Guillermo Flores; sister Sarah Rodriguez; and grandson Johnny Saenz.

A prayer service will be held at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary on Tuesday at 7:00 pm. And a rosary on Wednesday at 7:00 pm.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 11, 2007 at 3:00 pm at St. Joseph Catholic Church in La Pryor, Tx. Interment will follow in La Pryor Cemetery. Fr. Anthony Mendoza will be officiating.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Joe L. Gonzales; Shawn Gonzales; Charlie Gonzales; Isaac Flores; Anthony Salazar; Jesse Salazar; Juan Flores III; John David Flores; and Erin Ray Patino. Honorary pallbearers will be his granddaughters, great grandsons, great granddaughters and step-granddaughters.
