Juan Gonzales

Juan H. Gonzales of La Pryor passed away on December 9, 2017 in La Pryor at the age of 67. He was born on January 17, 1950 in La Pryor to Antonio and Maria de la Luz (Hernandez) Gonzales. Juan married Martha Alicia Lopez on January 11, 1969 in La Pryor, Texas. He is survived by his wife of 48 years; two daughters, Elisa Melendrez and husband Martin of La Pryor and Gabriella Gonzales and companion Robert Castro of La Pryor; one son, Juan Cristobal Gonzales and wife Jennifer of Alpine; two sisters, Alicia Garza of La Pryor and Luz Ledesma of De Ridder, Louisiana; three brothers, Joe Gonzales of La Pryor, Ismael Gonzales of La Pryor and Antonio Gonzales of Hobbs, New Mexico; six grandchildren, two great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Juan was preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter, Aysa Jane Gonzales, three sisters, Gloria Perez, Ramona Cordova and Luz Gonzales and two brothers, Arnoldo Gonzales and Antonio Gonzales.

A rosary will be held on Monday, December 11, 2107 at 7:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in La Pryor.

Pallbearers will be Marcos Avila, Joe Garza, Martin Melendrez, Abraham Gonzales, Joseph Cordova, and Antonio Gonzales.
