Juan Lara

Juan Ruiz Lara of Uvalde passed away at Santa Rosa Christus Hospital on January 10, 2013 at the age of 93. He was born on March 11, 1919 in Nixon, Texas to Roman and Teofila Ruiz Lara. He is survived by his sons, Reymundo Lara and wife Lucia, Ruben Lara and wife Yolanda both of Uvalde and Jesse Lara and wife Clarissa of San Antonio grandchildren, Luciann Lara, Reymondo R. Lara Jr., Rene R. Lara, David R. Lara, Johnny Lara Jr., Sylvia Lara Martinez, Cynthia Lara Rodriguez, JoShuabel DOrsogna, Joel Lara, Jesse J. Lara Jr., Jo Lise Lara, James D. Lara and Joseph A. Lara twentyfour great grandchildren four greatgreat grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eloisa Olivarez Lara sons, Johnny O. Lara and Jose O. Lara grandson, Ruben D. Lara Jr. sisters, Juanita Lara, Sarita L. Diaz, Martina Lara, Maria L. Olivarez, Marina L. Fuentes, and Guadalupe L. Alvarado brothers, Pantaleon Lara, Roman Lara, and Domingo Lara. A rosary will be held on Sunday Monday at 7:00 p.m. at the RushingEstesKnowles Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 15, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ruben Lara, Reymondo Lara, Jesse Lara, Hector Lara, Adan Alvarado, Oscar F. Fuentez, Ernesto Lara and Johnny Lara.
