Juan Soliz

Juan Casarez Soliz Sr. of Uvalde passed away on Saturday 12, 2015 in San Antonio at the age of 77. Mr. Soliz was born on February 13, 1938 in Eagle Pass to Marcelino and Juanita (Casarez) Soliz. He married Margarita Cervantez on August 20, 1960 in Spofford Texas. Mr. Soliz is survived by his wife of 55 years Margarita C. Soliz of Uvalde; daughter Carmen "Carrie" Hill and companion Joe Roman of Uvalde; three sons, Juan Soliz Jr. and wife Estella of Kerrville; Alberto Soliz and wife Martha of Uvalde; David Soliz and companion Angela of Kerrville; ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren; two brothers Teodoro Soliz and wife Angie and Marcelino Soliz and wife Pauline all from California; numerous nieces and nephews.
A rosary will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at 7:00 pm at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church with burial to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Juan C. Soliz Jr., Alberto C. Soliz, David Soliz, Eugene Cervantez, Duvan S. Hill, Juan Francisco Soliz and Alberto Soliz Jr.
