Juana "Cheli" A. Patino of Uvalde went to be with the Lord on October 25, 2017 in Uvalde at the age of 48. She was born on March 3, 1969 in Eagle Pass to Cipriano Montalvo and Antonia (Martinez) Patino.

She is survived by her parents of Uvalde; sisters, Norma Ruiz and husband, Joe of Uvalde and Maribel Lacey and husband, Brad of San Antonio; brothers, Cipriano Patino and wife, Siliva of Uvalde, Sergio Patino and wife, Graciela and Servando Patino and wife, Gisela all of San Antonio; nieces and nephews, Joey Ruiz, Diego Ruiz, Dora Ruiz, Klara Ruiz, Mia Patino, Desserie Zuniga, Elsa Patino, Servando Patino, Jr., Monic Patino, Sergio Patino, Jr., Gabriela Patino-Diaz and husband, Elijah, Daniela Patino, Lupe Garcia, Adriana Patino, and Christian Patino

Cheli was called to the ministry at the age of 13 while attending church service at a Tent Revival in Uvalde. The Evangelist called her out and prophesied over her letting her know that she would preach the Word of God in many places becoming a Missionary to Columbia, an Elementary Teacher, an Ordained Minister, and an active member in our community. Cheli was a person with a vision and a mission to bring others to Christ. She impacted many lives and changed the course of many by preaching the gospel.

Cheli was an innovator and a visionary in the following areas: Royal Rangers Teacher, El Dia de los Ninos Committee Member for the Uvalde Community, Youth Assistant at Templo Cristiano, Children's Church Pastor at Templo Cristiano, Side Walk Sunday School- Outreach to apartment complexes in Uvalde, Preacher at a Missions Trip to Colorado, Director of many Vacation Bible School, CO-Life Group Organizer and Leader, New Comer Welcoming Committee, Templo Cristiano Board Member, Secretary at Templo Cristiano, Christian Home school at Templo Cristiano., Started a Bilingual School in a Mega Church in Bogota and did missionary work in the mountain of Columbia.

A prayer service will be held on Wednesday and Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 27, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Templo Cristiano Church. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Joey Ruiz, Diego Ruiz, Christian Patino, Sergio Patino, Jr., Roberto Hernandez, Jr., and Jacinto Garcia, Jr.
