Juanita Gomez

Juanita Gomez of San Antonio, formerly of Sabinal passed away on March 26, 2020 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 13, 1942 in Pleasanton, Texas to Regino and Celestina (Rodriguez) Martinez.

She married Monsies Gomez on August 26, 1957 in Wisconsin.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years of San Antonio; daughters, Olga Gomez and husband, Reynaldo of San Antonio and Lucy Peterson and husband, Tom of Wisconsin; son, Monsies Gomez, Jr. of Wisconsin; sister, Petra Medina of San Antonio; brothers, Johnny Martinez and Angel Martinez both of Pleasanton; 6 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be held on Monday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary in Sabinal. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Sabinal Cemetery.

Because of the declaration of the state of emergency in Texas, Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary will only allow 10 people at a time. This can be done in rotating shifts to accommodate families. We thank you for your cooperation at this time of national disaster.
