Juanita Luna

Mrs. Juanita G. Luna of Uvalde passed away at her residence on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at the age of 78. Mrs. Luna was born on May 16, 1937 in Uvalde to Guadalupe and Francisca (Fuentes) Garcia. She is survived by three daughters, Stella Olivarez, Esperanza Luna and Sherry Luna all of Uvalde; five sons, Rogelio Luna, Arturo Luna, Guadalupe Luna, Rodolfo G. Luna, Enrique Luna and Leeroy Luna all of Uvalde; sister, Martina Moreno of Austin; four brothers, Enrique Garcia of Uvalde; Ruben Garcia of Minnesota; Valentin Garcia of Fort Worth and Guadalupe Garcia Jr. of Uvalde; twenty-two grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two sisters, Natalia Flores and Paula Luna and one brother Joaquin Garcia.
A prayer service will be held on Friday, January 29, 2016 at 7:00 pm at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 10:00 am at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary with burial to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Olivarez, Roberto Olivarez Jr., Toby Luna, Brandon Luna, Adrian Luna and Esteban X. Flores.
