Juanita White

Juanita Fern White of Batesville passed away on July 16, 2008 in Victoria Detar Navarro in Victoria, Texas at the age of 90. She was born on August 18, 1917 in Glen Rose, Texas to James and Maude Kirkland. She is survived by one daughter; Juanita Speer of Batesville, Texas; one son; James White and wife, Charlene of Cuero, Texas; two sister-in-laws; Dudley Hardin of Batesville, Texas and Polly Kirkland of Corpus Christi, Texas; one aunt, Julia Dunn of Cuero, Texas; nine grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; ten great- great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert Herman White, parents, daughter, Kathryn Ann White, granddaughter, Mary Lou Speer; son-in-law, Homer Speer; sister, Lula Bell Smith; sister-in-law, Ana Mae White; two brothers; Joe Kirkland and Bill Kirkland. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2008 at Batesville Baptist Church at 10:00 AM burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Brother Johnny Whiteaker will officiate. Pallbearers will be Sam Speer, Clinton Davis, Cody Wheeler, Brandon Davis, James Dell White, Rocky Willette, and Colter Speer. Honorary pallbearers will be Jack Rumfield, Marsha Smythe, Pete Speer, Garner Kirkland, Mary Sawyers, Garland Speer, Jerry Ivicic, Dorothy Capps, Edmund Speer, Johnny Whiteaker, and Laura Corbin.
