Julia Carreon

Julia Mendez Carreon of Uvalde passed away on May 30, 2017 at Methodist Hospital in San Antonio at the age of 67. She was born on December 25, 1949 in Castaños, Coahuila, Mexico to Francisco Mendez and Juanita Guzman Prado.
She is survived by her husband, Victor Carreon of Uvalde; mother of Castaños, Coahuila, Mexico daughters, Sanjuana Carreon Mendez of Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico, Maria Elizabeth Carreon Mendez and Ruth Abigail Carreon Mendez both of Uvalde; sons, Victor Manuel Carreon Mendez of Uvalde and Jose Arturo Carreon Mendez of Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico; sister, Zapopan Mendez Guzman of Castaños, Coahuila, Mexico; brothers, Armando Mendez Guzman, Ramon Mendez Guzman, and Jose Mendez Guzman all of Castaños, Coahuila, Mexico. 12 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father; and brother, Gilberto Barajas.
A prayer service will be held on Wednesday at 7:00p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at Templo Cristiano Church. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Victor Manuel Carreon Mendez, Jose Arturo Carreon Mendez, Azariel Carreon Hernandez, Abraham Garza, Pablo Rodriguez and Jose Mendez Guzman.
