Julia Charles Garcia of Uvalde passed away on January 1, 2013 at Uvalde Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Uvalde at the age of 91. She was born on July 21, 1921 in Uvalde to Teofilo and Alma Tafolla M. Charles. She is survived by her daughter, Alma Annette and Joe A. Cardenas of Uvalde sons, Richard C. Garcia and wife Ernestina and Arnold Lee Garcia both of Uvalde niece, Olga T. Charles of Uvalde nephews, Louis R. Charles of Houston and Gilbert A. Charles of San Antonio grandchildren, Jared B. Garcia, Richard C. Garcia Jr., Judith E. Cardenas, Joseph A. Cardenas and Jonathan A. Cardenas 3 great grandchildren and 1 greatgreat grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnulfo V. Garcia and brother, Alejandro T. Charles. A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 7, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the RushingEstesKnowles Chapel. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials may be made to the charity of ones choice.
