Julia Davis

Julia Marie Franklin Davis of San Antonio, formerly of Uvalde, passed away on May 16, 2009 at her residence at the age of 81. She was born on December 28, 1927 in Uvalde to Frank Elijah and Addie Ernst Franklin. She married Thomas G. Davis in Uvalde on June 15, 1947. He preceded her in death on April 22, 1991. Mrs. Davis was a member of the Oak Meadow United Methodist Church in San Antonio. She is survived by two daughters, Nancy Bridgers and husband, Rick of San Antonio; and Jeri Darr and husband, Richard of Plymouth, Massachusetts; five grandchildren, Jenesse Beaudoin and husband, Dustin; Morgan Bridgers; Lauren Bridgers; Ricky Darr; and Ryan Darr and wife, Kelly; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three brothers, L.J., Frank, and Raymond Franklin; and one sister, Leah Blair. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2009, at 12 noon at the Rushing-Estes-Knowles Chapel with burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.
