Julian Joseph De La Pena of Sabinal passed away in San Antonio on January 18, 2015 at the age of 34. He was born on November 5, 1980 in St. Charles, Ill. To Asuncion II and Ermandina (Gonzales) De La Pena. He married Elaina Robeldo on April 9, 2014 in Sabinal. He is survived by his wife Elaina R. De La Pena of Sabinal; daughter, Ariana De La Pena of Sabinal; two sons, Nicholas De La Pena and Julian De La Pena Jr. both from Sabinal; two sisters, Kathy Ramos of Sabinal and Monica Huerta of Elgin, Ill.; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Asuncion De La Pena III. A rosary will be held on Tuesday, January 20, 2015, Wednesday, January 21, 2015 and Thursday, January 22, 2015 at 7:00 pm at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary in Sabinal. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 23, 2015 at 2:00 pm at St. Patrick's Catholic Church with burial to follow at St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Nicholas De La Pena, Julian De La Pena Jr., Michael De La Pena, Juan Ramos, Aksel Huerta, Pablo Puentes, Jose Tristan, Arrmando De La Pena and Jesse Juarez. Honorary Pallbearers will be Giovanni Huerta, Ariana De La Pena and Emily Ramos.
