Katheryn Powell

Katheryn “Kathy” Alice Powell of Sabinal passed away at her residence at the age of 52.  She was born on April 15, 1968 to John Harry Hardt, Sr. and Johnnie Mae Akin.

She married John Powell in Eagle Pass, Texas on September 26, 1992.

She is survived by her husband of 27 years of Sabinal; sons, John Colby Powell and wife, Hannah of Kerrville, Thomas Garrett Powell and wife, Shannon Cover of Sabinal and Travis Cole Powel of Sabinal; sisters, Johnnie Lee Gonzalez and husband, Salvador of Eagle Pass and Kim Coryell -Baethge and husband, Stephen of Stonewall; brothers, Tommy Hardt and wife, Tammy of Salado, Timmy Hardt and wife, Graciela of Eagle Pass, Harry Hardt and wife, Diana of Eagle Pass and Robert Hardt and wife, Lupita of Hondo; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary in Sabinal.

Cremation is under the direction of Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.
