Kathleen Vaughan

Kathleen “Kitty” Qualia Vaughan, age 80, met her heavenly Father on June 26, 2023, in Brackettville, Texas. 

Kitty was born on January 24, 1943, to Louis and Kathleen Qualia in Del Rio, Texas and married the love of her life, WJ Vaughan, on April 4, 1992.

She was a devout Catholic who devoted her life to her family and God. Kitty was a loving and selfless wife, mother, grandmother (Kiki), sister, aunt, and friend.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Kathleen Qualia, her mother-in-law, Bernice Peace and her brother, Robert Qualia.

She is survived by her children and their families: son, Kevin Arp (Valerie); daughter, Shanna Orenstein (Louis); son, Jeff Vaughan (Sharon); son, Jedd Vaughan (Julie); eight grandchildren, Christopher, Victoria, and Abigail Arp, Jacques and Liam Orenstein, Bracher and Ava Vaughan, Jayton and Jack Vaughan; sister, Pat Hanna (Vic); sister in law, Jenny Qualia; two brothers, John Qualia (Kay) and Tommy Qualia (Linda Kay).

She was also blessed by numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved deeply.
