Born in her beloved South Texas on March 3, 1925, she passed away peacefully on the morning of June 7, 2013. She was a strong, gracious and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Kay Honey, as she was affectionately known, loved to welcome family and friends to her home, whether it was for afternoon coffee, a holiday or her famous Super bowl parties.
She was preceded in death by her only child, David Curtis Harp and by her husband of more than sixty years, Del Harp. She is survived by her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren, Lisa Harp Lum John and their two daughters, Sian and Leah of Virginia Amanda Harp Proteau Greg and their two daughters, Eloise and Sylvie of Portland, Oregon and Colin Harp of Los Angeles, California. Also her daughter in law Patricia Harp Scott Lt. Col. Curt Scott, ret. of Home, Washington and numerous nieces and nephews. The family is especially thankful for the extra care and attention given by Jimmy and Cathy Crawford and Charles and Diane Crawford during the last few years of her life.
Graveside services were held on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at 10:00AM at Edgewood Cemetery in Crystal City.
