Kenneth Garrett Sr.

Kenneth Lynn Garrett of Campwood, Tx. passed away on June 18, 2010, at Uvalde Memorial Hospital in Uvalde, Tx. at the age of 77. He was born on May 28, 1933 in Uvalde, Tx. to W.B. and Ethel Garrett. He married Kathryn Lois Coleman in Seguin, Tx. on July 19, 1952. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Kathryn Garrett of Campwood, Texas two daughters Sherry Garrett and husband David Monroe of Reagan Wells, Texas and Phyllis Tawater and husband Kevin of Saginaw, Texas son Kenneth Garrett Jr. and wife Kelly of Uvalde, Texas five grandchildren Tara Tawater, Brittney Tawater, Kevin O. Tawater, Ashley Ray, and Brandon Garrett. He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Dusty Garrett and James Ray Garrett. Funeral services will be held on Monday June 21, 2010 at 3:00 PM at Church of Christ in Uvalde with burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Mr. Brian Garnett of the Nueces Canyon Church of Christ will officiate. Pallbearers will be Cleo Bustamante Jr., Jimmy Neutze, Sam Fish, Reford Schmitto, Daniel Voss and Bob Lester. Honorary Pallbearers are Sam Engle, Allen Winzel, Todd Redfearn, Dick Geries, Vann McElroy, Cody Faulk, James Williamson, Haldon Fry, Charlie Waller, Steve Kerbow, Steve Cargil, Fred Ratliff, Terry Hibbitts, William Pepperson, Ray McDonald, Robert Coleman, David Monroe and Johnny Bullard. Memorial donations may be made to the Nueces Canyon Church of Christ.
