Laurentina Guedea

Laurentina Guedea of Uvalde passed away on May 19, 2016 at Lifecare Hospital in San Antonio at the age of 50. She was born on June 9, 1965 in Monclova, Mexico to Valentin and Laurentina (Ibarra) Salazar. She married Elmer Guedea on October 11, 1986. She is survived by her husband of 29 years of Uvalde; sons, Elmer Guedea Jr., Joaquin Guedea and Maximiliano Guedea all of Uvalde; sisters, Maria Pateno, Lucia Guedea, Rosa Carmen Garcia all of Uvalde; Genoveva Moreno of Lockhart, Manuela Lozano and Lydia Garcia both of Austin; brother, Valentin Salazar, Jr. of Kyle; grandson, Elmer Guedea III of Uvalde and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Ernesto Salazar.
A rosary will be held on Sunday and Monday at 7:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
