Lee Hawkes

Lee M. Hawkes of Uvalde passed away on March 28, 2008 in Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 83. He was born on January 10, 1925 in Spofford, Texas to Ernest and Hulda Hawkes. He married Faye Imogene Dean on January 1, 1946 in Uvalde, Texas. He is survived by his wife of 62 years Faye Hawkes; three daughters; Debbie McNiel and husband, Ricky of Uvalde, Texas; Rebecca Suttles of Midland; and Jill Gill and husband, Duane of San Antonio, Texas; one son; Dean K. Hawkes and wife, Lynette of Knippa, Texas; one sister; Ina Stansell of Devine, Texas; seven granddaughters and five grandsons; three great granddaughters and eleven great grandsons. Graveside services will be held on Sunday, March 30, 2008 at 3:00 pm at Hillcrest Cemetery. Ted McElroy will officiate. Pallbearers will be Ricky McNiel, Barrett Miller, Duane Gill, and Donnie Moore.
