Lela Annette Brewster, of Uvalde, Texas passed away peacefully on April 25, 2025 at the age of 90. She was born on December 15, 1934 in Rolla, Missouri. She is survived by her daughter, Beverly Fabian and husband Gary of Kingsland; daughter Patricia Chisum and husband Larry of Leakey; daughter Sharon Hotard and husband Jay of Uvalde; and son Neal Brewster and wife Lori of Uvalde; eight adoring grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Lela was proceeded in death by her husband, James Brewster of 67 years marriage. She was a witty and funny lady that would always surprise family with what she may say. Lela was a faithful companion to her hardworking farmer husband and a dedicated homemaker. They farmed in Batesville, TX since 1965. She enjoyed working in her flower beds and had a passion for quilting and crocheting. She was always up to a fun themed creative holiday with her family and enjoyed her retirement years with her husband by taking trips in their RV.
They were both active in the Baptist Temple Church in Uvalde, TX. At Lela’s request a family memorial will be held in Leakey, TX where she will be laid to rest on April 27, 2025.
