Lena Sturm

Lena Mae Sturm of Uvalde passed away on May 14, 2014 at her residence at the age of 89. She was born in Kenedy, Texas to Samuel W. and Virginia Newberry Dickinson. She married Leo F. Sturm in Karnes City, Texas on February 2, 1942. She is survived by her daughters, Patty Sturm of West Lafayette, Indiana and Jan Wooderson and husband Sam of Bryan son, Dr. Paul Sturm and wife Brenda of Uvalde sisters, Ann Wright and husband Allan of Comstock and Lucille Johnson of Houston grandchildren, Dr. Michael Sturm and wife Dr. Maryn Sturm, Katherine Ewing and husband Ed Ewing, Dr. Amy Stephen and husband Dr. Aaron Stephen , Adam Wooderson and wife Meredith Wooderson, Sarah Wooderson and John Wooderson great grandchildren, Austyn Sturm, Eddie Ewing, Elizabeth Lizzy Ewing, Brody Stephen, Blake Stephen, Jack Wooderson, Finn Wooderson, and Boone Stephen. She was preceded in death by her husband parents brothers, Otis Dickinson and Marvin Dickinson and sister, Clara Colvin. A rosary will be held Sunday at 7:00 p.m. at RushingEstesKnowles Mortuary. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, May 19, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at La Pryor Cemetery in La Pryor. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
