Leoma was a loving Mother and Grandmother Leoma Ozell Cox Craig went home to be with her Lord early morning on October 6, 2021, in Uvalde, Texas.
Leoma was born January 10, 1926 in Bullhead, Texas to Joseph William "Bud" and Parilee Vernor Cox. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Richard Wesley Craig, her parents, her sisters Vernell Suttles, Vercia Lee Herin, Barbara Nelson, Wanda Hynson, and brothers Joe Cox, and Gaston Cox.
She is survived by her daughter, Marilyn Beth Craig Stech and husband Sidney Stech of Corpus Christi, her son Steven Wesley Craig and wife Dale of New Ulm. Her 5 grandchildren Kevin and Aaron Stech, and Sharon Beth Stech Clark and their spouses. Wesley Elisabeth Joseph, and Avery Craig Thurman and their spouses.
She leaves 9 great-grandchildren, Everett, Audrey, Arleigh, Iris, Amarilla, America Ozell, Cater, Holden, and Sutton Elisabeth.
With many wonderful memories spent gathered with the grands around her kitchen and fireplace enjoying her hospitality and sweet hugs. Her cakes were in high demand for auction at the Old Settlers Reunion.
She loved living on the ranch, her flowers, hummingbirds, and watching the goats come up each morning. She worshipped during her early years at the Vance Baptist Church and later founding member, along with Richard, of the Hill Country Church of Christ.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 10, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Vance Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Vance Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to Hill County Church of Christ, P.O. Box 918, Camp Wood, TX 78833.
