Leon Ramirez

Leon Ledesma Ramirez of Uvalde passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at Amistad Nursing Home at the age of 87. He was born on May 17, 1928 in Mexico to Roman and Ramona (Ledesma) Ramirez. He married Maria De Jesus Montalvo in Mexico. Mr. Ramirez is survived by five daughters, Marta Vasquez and Evangelina Ramirez both of Uvalde; Maria Elena Diaz of Mexico and Berta Ramirez of Seagraves, Texas, Dora Ofelia Ramirez of Batesville; four sons, Jesus Ramirez of Uvalde; Thomas Ramirez of Galveston; Pablo Ramirez of Van Buren, Arkansas and Mario Ramirez of Fort Worth; two sisters, Francisca R. Ayala of Crystal City and Maria R. Rodriguez of Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico; 44 grandchildren and 51 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Ramirez was preceded in death by his wife Maria De Jesus Montalvo Ramirez, parents.
Gravesides will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at 4:00 PM at Hillcrest Cemetery.
