Leona Buchanan

Leona Ruth Buchanan of Uvalde passed away on November 18, 2012 at Uvalde Memorial Hospital at the age of 81. She was born on July 8, 1931 in San Antonio to Arthur Larry and Alice Fae Roberts Jones. She married C.A. Buchanan Jr. on October 6, 1948 in Uvalde. She is survived by her husband of 64 years daughter, Charlene and husband Curtis Owen of Riverton, Wyoming sons, Carlton Buchanan and wife Cheryl of Balinger, Texas and Joe Buchanan and wife Vicky of Spring Dale, Arkansas 6 grandchildren 1 great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents brothers, Jessie Jones, Paul Jones , Joe Jones and Norman Jones sisters, Louisa Boultinghouse, Edna Allison and Juanita Pace. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at 2:00p.m at the Uvalde Cemetery.
