Leonor Navejar

Leonor Navejar of Uvalde passed away on October 13, 2011 at Amistad Nursing Home at the age of 85. She was born on December 29, 1925 to Jesus and Petra Ortiz Navejar in Uvalde. She is survived by her sisters Consuelo Navejar, Maria Navejar both of Uvalde, Elida Benavidez and husband Philip of Corpus Christi brother Luis Navejar of Uvalde and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Alejos Navejar, Gilbert Navejar and Raul Navejar. A rosary will be held on Friday October 14, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at the RushingEstesKnowles Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Saturday October 15, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bob Estrada, Remijio Velasquez, Ernesto Serna Sr., Martin Ibarra, Jeremiah Narvaez and Michael Navejar.
