Leslie Mazurek

Leslie Edward Mazurek of Utopia passed away on December 2, 2011 at his residence at the age of 94. He was born on October 7, 1917 in Utopia to Sylvester and Emma Hicks Mazurek. He married Virgie Norine Jaroszewski in San Antonio, TX in 1948. He is survived by his wife of 63 years son, David Edward Mazurek and wife, Holly of Utopia sister, Eris Carroll of San Antonio two grandchildren, Animate and Michael Mazurek of Utopia sisterinlaw, Barbara Mazurek of Utopia brotherinlaw, Bruce Morehead of Bryan and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents one brother, and three sisters. Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2011 from 6:008:00 PM at the First Baptist Church in Utopia. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 4, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church in Utopia with burial to follow in the Bandera Cemetery. Mr. Paul Stephens will officiate. Pallbearers will be Matthew Carroll, Robert Mazurek, Raegan Mazurek, Brian Morehead, Wally Morehead, and Hague Dunlap. Honorary pallbearers will be Roy Gazaway, Ronnie Jaroszewski, Sid Mauldin, Everett Boyce, Frank Jones, and John Chaney.
