Leticia Lara, 57, of Uvalde, Texas left this world to join her lord and savior, Jesus Christ, on October 15, 2024, at North Central Baptist Hospital.
She was born on September 14, 1967, in Uvalde, Texas Carolina (Maldondo) and Lorenzo M. Lara.
Leticia Lara was a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. However, her absolute most favorite role in life was the role of “Grammy”. She and her grandchildren took part in highly organized criminal activities, such as staying up too late and breaking the rules during family game nights.
Leticia is survived by her children, Regina Lara Peña of Fort Sam Houston, Texas; Rupert Peña, III of Junction, Texas; Ruby Gonzales of Uvalde, Texas, Brianna Gonzalez of Uvalde, Texas; and Juan Gonzalez of Fort Carson, Colorado; sisters, Anna Benavides and husband, Arnulfo of Rocksprings, Lucy Lee Lara and Louella Lara both of Uvalde; brother Loreno Rodriguez of Uvalde; and numerous grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
