Lewis Bracy, Jr.

Lewis E. Bracy, Jr. of Uvalde passed away on June 17, 2009 in Uvalde Memorial Hospital at the age of 84. He was born on September 3, 1924 in Austin, TX to Lewis E. and Iola Rogers Bracy, Sr. He married Elaine O'Leary in Houston on June 3, 1947. He is survived by his wife of 62 years; two daughters, Andrea Bracy Hibbetts and husband, William D. of San Antonio and Elaine Anne Bracy Wilson and husband, Allen of McKinney, TX; a son, Lewis Rogers Bracy and wife, Bongie of Corpus Christi, TX; five grandchildren, Stephen Hibbetts and wife, Amy; Elizabeth Elaine Wilson; Ryan Marshall Wilson; Jennifer Bondurant Bracy; and Andrew Rogers Bracy; and one great-grandchild, Haley Hibbetts. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2009 at 2:00 PM at St. Philip's Episcopal Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Regional Cancer Care Center, 1025 Garner Field Rd., Uvalde, TX 78801; St. Philip's Episcopal Church or School, 343 N. Getty St., Uvalde, TX 78801; or to the charity of one's choice.
