Lidia Velasquez

Lidia A. Velasquez of Uvalde passed away on November 25, 2009 in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 62. She was born on October 12, 1947 in La Luz, Guanajuato, Mexico to Feliciano and Teresa Aguilar. She married Ramon Velasquez Jr. in Eagle Pass, Texas on May 4, 1969. She is survived by her husband of 40 years; RamonVelasquez Jr. of Uvalde, Texas; daughter; Angelica Velasquez Aguilar of Uvalde, Texas; son; Ramon Velasquez III of Uvalde, Texas; mother; Teresa Aguilar of La Luz, Guanajuato, Mexico; sisters; Luz Maria Estrada of Uvalde, Texas; Esperanza Estrada of Portland, Texas; Imelda Aguilar of Mexico City, Mexico; Yolanda Aguilar of Mexico City, Mexico; Teresa Aguilar of Guanajuato, Mexico; brothers; Luis Aguilar of Corpus Christi, Texas; Raul Aguilar of New Braunfels, Texas; Enrique Aguilar of La Luz, Guanajuato, Mexico; David Aguilar of Reynosa, Mexico; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Feliciano Aguilar. A prayer service will be held on Friday at 7:00 PM at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2009 at 3:00 PM at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Chapel with burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Brother Hector Lopez will officiate. Pallbearers will be Raul Estrada Jr., Nicholas Aguilar, Adrian Estrada, Benjamin Velasquez, Joey Velasquez, and Rogelio Velasquez Jr.
