Lila Anne Parker passed away on August 20, 2013 in Uvalde, Texas. She was born in Austin, Texas to Richard Denny and Nona Lee Clement Parker. She attended Wooldridge Elementary School, University Junior High and Austin High School. She went on to graduate from the University of Texas with a degree in home economics and was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority. She married Glenn Moore Tooke Jr. in 1952 at All Saints Episcopal Church in Austin. She retired from work in several departments at The University, primarily with Dr. Ira Iscoe. She was a long time member of St. Davids Episcopal Church where she was a lay reader and wedding coordinator. She was involved with a multitude of community organizations in Austin including The Junior League of Austin, Womens Symphony League, St. Davids Hospital Auxiliary, Next to New Shop, The Settlement Club, Heritage Society of Austin, Travis County Historical Commission, the DAR, the DRT, and was a docent for many years at the Texas Governors Mansion and LBJ library. She was preceded in death by her parents two brothers, J. Adoue Parker and William L. Parker niece, Katrina Kirksey Parker. She is survived by her daughter, Lee Parker Tooke Case granddaughter, Hanna Catherine Case both of Uvalde soninlaw, Daniel John Case of Long Beach, California brothers, Richard C. Parker of Corsicana, Texas and David C. Parker of Austin nieces, Peggy Karren of San Francisco, California Julie Rose of Austin, Katie Wood Parker Bollinger of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Elizabeth Adams of Austin nephews, Denny Parker of Austin, Jack Parker of Dallas Tommy Parker of Austin, Kirksey Parker of Houston, and William Archer of Austin and several great nieces, nephews, and cousins. Lila Annes family would like to thank her caregivers Cathy Cresswell, Albert Thompson, and Harold Thompson in Austin and Elvia Galindo, Anna Aguilar, Frances Flores, Lou Gomez, Betty Perez, Esperanza Vasquez and San Juana Medina in Uvalde, for their loving care. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Philips Episcopal Church in Uvalde and at St. Davids Episcopal Church on Monday, August 26, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. in Austin. The family suggests memorial donations to St. Philips Episcopal School in Uvalde, Uvalde Hospice, or St. Davids Hospital Auxiliary in Austin.
