Lilia Gonzales

Lilia T. Gonzales of Uvalde passed away on November 7, 2017 at Amistad Nursing Home in Uvalde at the age of 86. She was born on March 26, 1931 in Knippa, Texas to Leocadio and Candelaria (Salgado) Torres. She married Robert T. Gonzales in Uvalde on July 12, 1953.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years of Uvalde; daughter, Dora Leos of Uvalde; sons, Aldo T. Gonzales and wife, Prescilla of Austin and Robert T. Gonzales, Jr. and wife, Cynthia of Uvalde; brothers, Estanislado Torres of Salinas, California and Leocadio Torres, Jr. of Springhill, Louisiana; grandchildren Ivan Leos, Jennifer Rangel , Jessica Rodriguez, Belicia Gonzales, Lorena Gonzales, Joaquin Gonzales and Diego Gonzales; great grandchildren Lily Leos, Orlando Casteneda, Bianca Rodriguez, Lilliana Rodriguez ,Diego Rangel, Luke Rangel, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Apolonia Niera, Santos Avalos and Gertudis Jimenez.
A rosary will be held on Saturday and Sunday at 7:00 p.m. at Rushing -Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, November 13, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Joaquin Gonzales, Robert Gonzales, III, Hermilio Rangel, Ivan Leos, Jerry Behm, and Zachary Echavirria. Honorary pallbearers will be Orlando Castaneda and Jac Behm.
