Lilia Saiz

Lilia R. Saiz of Uvalde, Texas passed away on Wednesday December 21, 2022, in Uvalde, Texas at the age of 74.

She was born on December 8, 1948, in Stockton, California to Soila (Samora) and Tomas Rodriguez.

She married Santiago L. Saiz Sr. on April 1998.

She loved to cook, bake, watch the Food Network Channel and enjoyed listening and dancing to Conjunto and Tejano music.

Lilia is survived by her son Roland James Saiz and wife, Lizette of Uvalde, Texas; her brothers George Rodriguez and Victor Manuel Cruz and wife, Angie; sisters Evangelina Cruz and husband Victor Cabralez and Gloria Reyes and husband, Ruben all of Uvalde; sister-in- laws Delia Alvarado of San Antonio, Texas and Alice Zamora of Salt Lake City, Utah; aunt, Connie Zamora of Salt Lake City, Utah, special friend, Sylvia G. Schaefer of Uvalde; and numerous cousins, nephews, and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her husband Santiago L. Saiz Sr.; mother, Soila Samora; brothers, Abelino Alvarado and Arturo Zamora; sisters, Guadalupe Castillo and Mari Lou Cruz; nephews, Roger Alvarado, Victor Manuel Cruz Jr., Michael Ray Cruz and niece, Eliahna Torres.

A private memorial services will be held at a later date.
