Lilly Garza

Lilly B. Garza, 81, of Uvalde passed away on May 15, 2017, in San Antonio.
She was born on August 17, 1935, in Ozona, TX to Chon and Angelina (Parada) Barron.
She married Alejandro (Alex) A. Garza in June 1958, in Uvalde, TX.
She is survived by four sons, Alex Garza, Jr. and wife, Seong Ja of Mount Vernon, WA, Bobby Garza of Uvalde, Orlando Garza of San Antonio, Sergio Garza and wife, Kati of San Antonio and one daughter, Sandy B. Garza of Schertz, TX.
Her grandchildren, Alex Gene Garza, Jr. and wife, Maria of Tucson, AZ, Dr. Hyon He Garza MD and husband, Adrian Head of Tucson, AZ, Chon Garza of Seattle, WA, Alex Joe Garza and wife, Briana of Coppers Cove, TX, Crystal Covarrubias and husband, Roger of San Antonio, TX, Chelsea Martinez and husband, Jacob of Uvalde, TX; brother, Samuel Barron of Uvalde, TX; sisters, Mary Jane Martin of Wimberley, TX, and Alyce Barron Bohuslavicky of Katy, TX.; great grandchildren, Makayla Covarrubias, Roger Jr. Covarrubias, Alex Joe Garza, Jr., Jay Martinez, Joshua Martinez, Journey Faith Martinez, Jacob Garza, and Jazylyn Babuca and numerous nieces and nephews.
Lilly was a member of La Primera Iglesia Bautista of Uvalde, TX.
Lilly was preceded in death by her parents, Chon and Angelina Barron; husband, Alejandro (Alex) A. Garza, brother, Paul Barron of Dell City, OK, sisters, Minnie Ramirez of Camp Wood, TX, Isidra Barron of Ozona, Texas, granddaughter, Ana-Lisa Garza of Uvalde; great grandson's, Joshua Garza of Tucson, AR, Robert Rodrick Garza of Uvalde and Jacob Martinez Jr. of Poteet, TX.
Pallbearers will be Alex Gene Garza, Chon Garza, Alex Joe Garza, Russel Bohuslavicky, Chente Arispe, and Joe Gonzales, Jr.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Roger Covarrubias, Jacob Martinez, Paul Roller, David Garza, Sergio Ortiz, Jimmy Martin, Sammy Barron
A prayer service will be held on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Primera Iglesia Bautista. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
