Linda Basaldua

Linda Basaldua of Uvalde passed away on April 8, 2018 in San Antonio at the age of 71. She was born on November 6, 1946 in Uvalde to Raul Cano, Sr. and Guadalupe Arizmendi Cano. She is survived by her husband, Paul Estala of Uvalde, son, Andy Basaldua and wife, Mindy of Dalhart; daughters, Abby Cook and husband, Jason of Dalhart and Amy Long and husband, James of Uvalde; sister, Yolanda Chapa of Uvalde; brother, John Jay Cano of Uvalde; nine grandchildren, Michael Garcia; Angela Encinias; Maranda Evans; Adam Basaldua; Destiney Basaldua; James Long; Angel Long; Mia Long; and Kyle Cook; and ten great-grandchildren, Ayden Garcia; Talan Garcia; Semirah Garcia; Rylan Garcia; Andi Garcia; Avian Encinias, Liam Encinias; Abi Encinias; Sophia Long; and Johnny Cook. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Raul Cano, Jr. A prayer service will be held on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at 7:00 PM at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. Cremation was under the direction of Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.
