Lucilla Chavera

Mrs. Lucilla Chavera, age 70, of Batesville passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2017 in Uvalde. She was born on June 18, 1946 in Batesville to Jose T. and Rafaela (Martinez) Vasquez. She married Tranquilino Chavera on August 1974 in Pearsall. Mrs. Chavera love nature and watching novellas.
Mrs. Chavera is survived by her husband of 42 years; two sons, Reynaldo Chavera of Batesville and Rogelio Chavera of San Antonio; one sister, Alamar Lopez of San Antonio; three brothers, Jesus Vasquez, Adolfo Vasquez both of Batesville and Rafael Vasquez of Richmond, TX. and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by parents, two sisters, Elida V. Garza and Rosalinda V. Rodriguez, three brothers, Jose M. Vasquez, Guillermo Vasquez and Hector Vasquez.
A rosary will be held on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at 7:00 pm at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A Mass of Resurrection will be held on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at 11:30 am at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Batesville with interment to follow at Batesville Cemetery.
