Lucille Arthur

Lucille Carson Arthur was born on February 27, 1918 on the Rothe Ranch near DHanis, TX to Stonewall Jackson and Virginia Prince Carson. She spent her childhood on a ranch in the Sabinal Canyon. On August 22, 1933, Lucille married Walter Price Arthur in Knippa, TX. The young couple lived in Uvalde where she worked for Springers Jewelry. Lucille later spent many years working at Calvert, Beasley McNelly Insurance. After several years of retirement, Lucille moved to Marble Falls to be closer to her family. She is survived by two daughters, Marion Beasley and husband, Charles of Burnet, TX and Deborah Desormeaux and husband, Brian of Austin, TX four grandchildren, Paige Lechler and husband, Jim of Marble Falls Casey Beasley and wife, Brenna of Austin Jennifer Phillips and Doug Phillips of Round Rock and Rebecca Ward and husband, Steve of Pflugerville ten greatgrandchildren, Luke Lechler and wife, Megan of Plano Abbie Lechler of Allentown, PA Lucie Lechler of Marble Falls Zach Lechler of Austin Jack Beasley and Russell Beasley of Austin Davis Ward and Trevor Ward of Pflugerville and Charli Phillips and Patton Phillips of Round Rock two greatgreatgrandchildren, Cash Lechler and Bella Clare Lechler of Plano sisterinlaw, Cleo Carson of Utopia and numerous nieces and nephews. Lucille was preceded in death by her parents husband three sisters, Winnie Smith, Gertrude Berry, and Agnes Perkins and three brothers, Richard, Joseph, and S.J. Carson. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1st United Methodist Church in Uvalde on Sunday, February 21, 2010 at 2:00 PM. Honorary pallbearers are her greatgrandsons, Luke Lechler, Zach Lechler, Davis Ward, Jack Beasley, Patton Phillips Russell Beasley, and Trevor Ward.
