Luis Flores

Luis Flores of Uvalde passed away on July 5, 2017 in Uvalde Memorial Hospital at the age of 81. He was born on October 11, 1935 in Colonia Jesus Agustin Castro, Durango, Mexico to Lucas Flores Martinez and Fidencia Gonzales Martinez. He married Rosa Gonzales in Uvalde on March 17, 1961. She preceded him in death on May 24, 2017.
He is survived by two daughters, Sylvia Madrid of San Antonio and Alicia Flores of Uvalde; two sons, Luis Flores, Jr. and Jose Flores, both of Uvalde; five sisters, Maria de Carmen Flores Gonzalez and Nena Flores Gonzalez, both of Piedras Negras, Mexico; Maria Flores Gonzalez of San Antonio; Julia Flores Gonzalez of Dallas; and Maria Jesus Flores Gonzalez of Monterrey, Mexico; two brothers, Jose Cruz Flores Gonzalez of Piedras Negras, Mexico and Manuel Flores Gonzalez of Dallas; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife and daughter, Francisca Flores. Funeral mass will be held on Monday, July 10, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jose Flores, Manuel Flores, Miguel Flores, Juan Ruben Chaires Flores, Felipe Flores Romo III, Frank Carballada, Juan Torres and Jesus Hernandez. Honorary pallbearers will be Luis Flores Jr., Ruben Flores Hernandez, Ernesto Carballada Jr. and Ernesto Carballada III.
