Luis Hernandez

Luis Martin Hernandez of Uvalde passed away on July 22, 2015 at Uvalde Memorial Hospital at the age of 53. He was born on September 1, 1961 in Leakey, Texas to Tomas and Paulina (Ramirez) Hernandez. He is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Westerfield and husband Brad of San Antonio; son, Ruben Hernandez of California; sisters, Lucy Gallegos and husband Jerry, Estela Mendoza and husband Abraham, Polly Flores and husband Manuel, Leticia Covarrubia and husband Eddie and Gloria Cazares and husband Jacinto all of Uvalde; brothers, Tomas R. Hernandez and wife Belen of Uvalde and David Hernandez and wife Angel of Hondo; numerous nieces, nephews, special aunt, Rosa Zamarripa of Uvalde, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Daniel Hernandez. A rosary will be held on Thursday, Friday at 7:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Abner Briceno, Josh Clark, Jacinto Cazares, Eddie Covarrubia, Jerry Gallegos Jr., Tomas Hernandez, David Manuel Hernandez and Juan Ibarra. Honorary pallbearers will be Daniel Herrera and Johnathan Hernandez
