Luis Ocasio

Mr. Luis Angel Davila Ocasio of Uvalde passed away Monday, February 15, 2016 Main Methodist Hospital in San Antonio at the age of 84. Mr. Ocasio was born on November 21, 1931 in Puerto Rio to Juana (Guzman Davila) and Jose Gonzalez Ocasio. He married Dora Ruiz on March 13, 1966 in Chicago, Illinois. He is survived by his wife of 49 years Dora R. Ocasio of Uvalde; six daughters Sylvia Ocasio and husband Martin Esquivel of La Pryor, Teresa Ocasio of Uvalde, Nancy Ocasio of Seattle, Washington, Iris Ocasio Atkinson of St. Louis, Missouri, Carmen Ocasio Silva and Ruben of Hammond, Indiana, Maria Ocasio Bivan of Chicago, Illinois; seven sons Luis Jesus Ocasio and wife Yolanda of Edinburg of Texas, Adam Ocasio and Erika of Orlando, Florida, William Ocasio of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Angel Ocasio and wife Carol, Eddie Ocasio, Henry Ocasio and Louis Ocasio all four of Chicago, Illinois; brother Angel Ocasio of Chicago, Illinois; twenty-six grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Ocasio was preceded in death by one son Jose Ocasio, parents and numerous sisters and brothers.
Funeral Services for Mr. Ocasio will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 5:00 pm at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.
In lieu of flowers memorial can be made to New Testament Church 220 S. Crisp, Uvalde, Texas 78801 or to charity of your choice.
Cremation under the direction of Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.
