Luis Velasquez Sr.

Luis T. Velasquez Sr. of Uvalde passed away July 12, 2007 in Northeast Baptist Hospital in San Antonio, Tx. at the age of 56.

He was born Feb. 21, 1951 in Uvalde, Tx. to Francisco Refugia Velasquez.

He was married to Stella Trevino in Uvalde, Tx. on Oct. 13, 1973.

He is survived by his wife, Stella Velasquez of Uvalde, Tx.; daughters, Christina Martinez husband Juan of Uvalde, Tx., Maria Luisa Juarez husband Adam of San Antonio, Tx., Irene Morin husband Abel of Uvalde, Tx., Esmeralda Velasquez of Uvalde, Tx., and Maria Victoria Velasquez of Uvalde, Tx.; Sons, Donald Trevino wife Mary of Uvalde, Tx. and Luis Velasquez Jr. of Uvalde, Tx.; Sister Rosa Martinez of Uvalde, Tx.; eight grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Francisco Velasquez Jr., Jose Velasquez and Jorge Velasquez.

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 16, 2007 at 11:00 A.M., at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Fr. Wieslaw Iwaniec will officiate.

Rosary will be held Saturday and Sunday at 7:00 P.M. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Chapel.

Arrangements are by Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.
