Luisa Lira

Luisa Souquette Lira of Uvalde passed away on March 14, 2015 in Uvalde Healthcare and Rehab at the age of 83. She was born on August 25, 1931 in Piedras Negras, Mexico to Feumencio Souquette and Marina Rodriguez Souquette. She is survived by nieces and nephews, Gregorio Souquette, Jr. and Mary Shramek, both of San Antonio; Ana Souquette of Ft. Worth; Felipe Souquette of Bryan; and Jesse Hill, Frances Hill, Connie Hill, and Joe Hill, all of Uvalde; and sister-in-law, Anita Souquette of San Antonio. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Gregorio Souquette, Sr., Felipe Souquette, and Feumencio Souquette, Jr.; and sister, Anita Hill. A rosary will be held on Monday, March 16, 2015 at 6:00 PM at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. Funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial following in Hillcrest Cemetery.
