Lupe Martinez

Lupe Martinez of Uvalde passed away on October 20, 2015 at Methodist Specialty & Transplant Hospital in San Antonio at the age of 62. She was born on February 26, 1953 in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico to Jose and Santos (Rios) Jimenez. She is survived by daughter, Cynthia Morones and husband David of Hondo; son, Carlos Martinez, Jr. and wife Claudia; numerous sisters and brothers; grandchildren, Stephanie Ann, Juan Carlos and Jose Angel; great-grandchild Leonardo Sebastian and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Jesse Jimenez. A rosary will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at 7:00 pm at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, October 23, 2015 at 11:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Pallbearers will be Lisa Alegria, Vanessa Alejandro, Jessica Guevara, Juan Carlos Martinez, Juan Torres III and John Luke Ratliff. Cremation is under the direction of Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary
